Who I am
About
I'm Barış, an Artificial Intelligence Systems student at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH), based in Vilnius, Lithuania. I build deep learning, computer vision and secure applications.
My journey into AI started with curiosity about how machines learn from data. Since then I've been building projects that turn that curiosity into working software. From deep learning models that help diagnose lung diseases on chest X-rays, to a Gemini search engine with retrieval augmented generation.
I enjoy the full path of an ML project: scraping and preprocessing data, training and evaluating models, and shipping them as usable applications. Outside of coursework, most of my learning happens through hands-on projects you can find on my GitHub.
